Finally, the NBA is back!

Along with the arrival of a new season comes a series of lingering questions. Considering the influx of talent in the East, can the Miami Heat pull off a three-peat? Who among this year's rookies will live up to their premise and promise? Is Derrick Rose healthy enough to bring Chicago back to title contention? Is Patrick Beverly poised to snag Jeremy Lin's starting job in Houston? And finally, will the Los Angeles Lakers even make it to the post-season without Kobe Bryant?

We really don't have Madame Auring's magical crystal ball to predict the future, but we could sure try. Read on to see our fearless forecast on the incoming NBA season!

Philly fans will forget this season ever happened

If there’s one thing worth talking about involving the 76ers this season, it could very well be Allen Iverson’s official jersey retirement ceremony during its home opener against the Miami Heat.  

After that, it’s ho-hum all the way down to end of the season. Unless Michael Carter Williams turns out to be a phenomenon, the current Sixers roster isn’t really built to compete.

After trading away All-Star point guard Jrue Holiday for injured prospect Nerlens Noel and a second-round pick, its pretty apparent that Sixers General Manager Sam Hinkie and the rest of the organization are keen on tanking this season in order to get a better chance at future first overall pick Andrew Wiggins.
