If the news is any indication, it looks like things are indeed back to normal. Unfortunately for us Pinoys, normal pertains to everyday delubyo, from fare hikes and road accidents to Kuya Germs's health condition.

Here are the news bits that prove 2015 is off to a bad start...

Nation, let's all pray for the speedy recovery of German Moreno, who suffered a mild stroke last Friday, January 2. The Master Showman, who is currently confined at St. Luke's Medical Center, is reportedly paralyzed on his right side, so a lengthy physical therapy may be necessary. Get well soon, Kuya Germs.

Fellow commuters, this is what Presidential Spokeperson Edwin Lacierda is saying regarding the recently implemented MRT/LRT fare hike: "This is not a popular decision as far as MRT-riding passengers are concerned. But we are doing this because this is the right thing to do." We better see improvements real soon, sir. Nobody wants to pay double for the same kind of soul-crushing experience.

Last Saturday, January 3, a Norweigian cargo ship boarding 19 Pinoy crew members sank off the coast of Southern Vietnam. As of this writing, the ship's chief cook, Angelito Capindo Rojas, is the only known survivor. "I don't understand why the ship had the accident and sank," he told Fox News. "I just knew that the ship, which was on its way, suddenly tilted. I just had time to put on a life vest and jump into the sea." Not cool, Mother Nature.
