The December 2011 cover shoot in numbers: One blustery morning, a crew of 25, crammed into a convoy of seven vehicles. One hundred twenty minutes traversing the NLEX, with an average of 20-minute naps for everyone. Fifteen outfit changes, at least. Three folding chairs shared by asses four times that number, 4 hours under temperamental weather conditions, 30 overly enthusiastic local children cavorting around the set, trying to get a piece of the action. And one very shaky tent.
All that, and much more, for just one girl. But, of course. She happens to be the Sexiest Woman in the Philippines. A round of applause for Sam Pinto, gentlemen.
Unlike us, Sam is no stranger to large numbers. Large was the number of the votes she received during the 100 Sexiest Women of the World campaign, naturally bringing her to the top spot.
Now we’ve got her shooting endless photos, each more stunning than the one before, with a seemingly perfect backdrop of hardened ash and lava. Quite apt for a girl who only gets hotter every time we see her. She probably felt right at home.
Since we’re counting (and trying not to be distracted by Sam’s ethereal photos), here’s what else’s in the December Christmas stocking: 12 awesomely cutting-edge gadget gift guide, 69 of the dirtiest song lyrics, tips to act your age for each decade, the latest stats on the condo boom, and a dozen of the greatest sports bars. And a partridge in a pear tree. Happy holidays, guys.
