Baby Haven, the first baby born on a Cebu Pacific (CEB) flight, has been awarded by the airline company’s top management with one million GetGo points.
CEB President and CEO Lance Gokongwei said they were extremely delighted that both mother and daughter are currently in healthy condition.
“To celebrate this momentous occasion in the life of one of our passengers, CEB awards Baby Haven one million GetGo points, which she can use to fly with us for free,” he said.
Haven’s GetGo points have no expiration and can also be used by her family for traveling. GetGo is a lifestyle rewards program where you earn points when you fly with Cebu Pacific and with a certain amount of points, you can use it to book a flight.
Baby Haven was born on Sunday, August 14, four hours into the departure of flight 5J015 from the Dubai International Airport. Although she was born prematurely by 32 weeks, two passengers who happened to be registered nurses ensured Baby Haven’s safe delivery. One of the passengers in the flight, Missy Berberabe Umandal, told the story in a Facebook post and mentioned that the baby will get "free travels for a lifetime."
Both Baby Haven and her mother are currently receiving medical treatment in India after their flight diverted there due to Baby Haven’s sensitive birth.
