I’d been sitting around the lobby office until 12AM, waiting for the results of my job application at a BPO company. Later, I got the confirmation that I made it. They announced that we needed to go back for orientation the next day, at 11AM. I was frustrated since that would surely make me miss out on a good sleep.
I texted a friend to double-check the time, and he said it was moved to 8AM. Out of spite I texted back to him: “Tanginang bading yun! Pinaghintay tayo hanggang gabi tapos biglang iibahin yung oras!” I was expecting a “LOL” or a “ha ha!” response, but instead I got a phone call from the company. That was when I found out that I sent the text to the recruiter.
The next day, I was in the room attending the orientation, which was to be conducted by the very same guy I pissed off. I almost melted in my seat when he told my story to everyone.
