While the FHM 100 Sexiest Victory Party was every bit a revelry last July 26, we couldn't help but think about our favorite muses who missed out on the fun night. Case in point: No. 8 on the list, Solenn Heussaff.

Solenn would have showed up had not it been for a prior commitment in the hit GMA-7 fantaserye remake Encantadia, wherein she plays the first ruler of Lireo Cassiopeia. During our sit-down interview, she revealed that she freaked out when she was offered the role. But learning that Fil-Austrian and FHM 2004 Sexiest Woman Cindy Kurleto first took on the job was a sigh of relief. "I told myself, kung kaya niya, kaya ko rin!" she shared.

Perhaps knowing that we will see more of Solenn on TV was a good enough reason to not feel so bad about her not showing up at the event. But being the ever-evolving multi-hyphenate that she is, Solenn knows how to pull off a surprising feat to more than make up for it.

Here she is on a grand comeback on the cover of FHM's August 2016 issue:

"I would never do a sexy magazine again," she once said. Kasal na siya, baka hindi na siya pwede sa FHM, we all said at one point. But here is Solenn breaking the mold of a stereotyped married woman—strong, self-aware, sensual. Just after her wedding in Brittany, France, she bared it again for the first half of this cover outing. "I decided to break away from how people perceived me by just doing it! I told myself that I'll do another FHM cover shoot tapos itotodo ko so they can just effin' shhussshh," she said in jest.

Solenn has tied the knot, alright, but getting hitched didn't stop her from starring in a sitcom and fantaserye, hosting a travel show, and recently authoring her solo book Hot Sos (out this month!), among other things. "Women can be powerful, and have been powerful and successful in the past, and it shouldn't change when you settle down," said Solenn. If there's one more thing we learned about her in this reunion, it is that she's a woman of drive and desires, and there's no stopping her from getting where she wants to be.

Before you bury your head in all 26 pages of Solenn's grand comeback, here are other good reads in this issue: an exclusive interview with Ely Buendia and his plan to save OPM as co-founder of Offshore Music; a guide on how to gear up with weapons-grade tools; our take on Suicide Squad's Harley Quinn; and one-on-one encounters with theater actress Giannina Ocampo and Miss Earth 2013 Angelee delos Reyes, to name a few.
