On Thursday morning, August 4, an ABS-CBN News report said that Bureau of Customs (BOC) Commissioner Nicanor Faeldon had confirmed that singer and dancer Mocha Uson wil be working for the agency. Uson heads an all-female group called Mocha Girls.
When asked about Uson's appointment to BOC, Faeldon—a former military man who was part of the 2003 Oakwood Mutiny—reportedly replied, "She will be the social media consultant."
However, a few hours after the announcement of Uson's supposed BOC appointment, the agency posted this message on its official Twitter page: "Comm. Nicanor Faeldon will not appoint Mocha Uson as BOC Social Media Consultant but she can write articles about BOC on her blog."
Uson has previously slammed media outfits for presenting what she had tagged as anti-Duterte news.
