CoC (Certificate of Candidacy)-filing week kicked things off with the emergence of a handful of, uhm, "unusual" applicants.
A number of netizens even defended these aspiring politicos, saying they have the right to do what they want and seek a government position, as long as it's in accordance to the Constitution.
But honestly, the issue here isn't about being discriminatory. We're not being judgmental and all, but surely we can do better than a woman looking like she just thought of her platform on the spot, or a man claiming to be Kris Aquino's husband... (There's a reason why that dude was disqualified several times in the past.)

Anyway, the Comelec opened its doors again today to accomodate more hopeful public officials, and basically, let the shenanigans continue.
Drawing first blood today are a couple of candidates who seem to have had the wrong intervention:
Following the footsteps of Vice President Jejomar Binay and Sen. Gringo Honasan, who filed their CoCs for president and vice president, respectively, are Alfredo Tindugan and Angelito Baluga—running mates who will be pushing for a "divine government" in 2016.
At least Tindugan has his (holy) hair game on point. Although he might want to do something about that shirt first...

Volunteer missionary and presidential aspirant Romeo John Ygonia, who identifies himself as "Archangel Lucifer," says he was "obliged" by his master "to do his wanted (sic), if not, punishment."

What the hell is this dude talking about?!
It's just the beginning of a long day for these candidates and Comelec officers, and it seems that this "holy war" already hints of a rowdier following days for CoC filing. Here's to hoping the real One up there knocks some sense into future applicants...
