Senator Leila de Lima has a bad feeling regarding the fates of two top drug suspects, both of whom she believes are “cooperating” with the government to fabricate lies against her to pin her down to her alleged illegal drug activities.
“This is my advice to Kerwin. Don’t ever think that your 'cooperation' will spare you your life. Sooner or later this government is going to make sure you end up like your father,” she said.
De Lima was referring to the mysterious killing of Albuera Mayor Rolando Espinosa who was shot dead by police personnel after an alleged shootout in prison on November 5.
Espinosa has initially surrendered peacefully when he was named as part of President Rodrigo Duterte’s initial drug list last August.
However, he denied being involved in the drug trade while admitting that his son, Kerwin was a drug lord.
As for convict Sebastian, De Lima said he will suffer the same fate.
Sebastian earlier testified in a House hearing where De Lima and her alleged bagman Ronnie Dayan were linked to the alleged drug activities at the New Bilibid Prison.
Last week, De Lima made a shocking revelation by finally admitting that she had a past relationship with her Dayan, also her driver and bodyguard.
Duterte, for his part, said her admission was not enough to pin her down.
