Now that high-powered professional cameras are so accessible, anyone rich enough can capture moments and turn them into art.
Yes, almost everyone is a shutterbug nowadays. But does anyone have the guts to call themselves a professional penis photographer?
At least one woman does:
She's Soraya Doolbaz, an Iranian-Canadian female fashion photographer who's currently based in New York. She makes thousands of dollars taking high fashion photos of men's schlongs. Yes, dick pictures.
But Soraya doesn't simply take dick pics. She dresses up penises in doll-like clothes and photographs them in order to capture the dicks’ personalities.
The big question: WHY?
"Back when I was single, I would get a ton of dick pics and my friends would get them, and we would show them to each other and some dick pics were better than the other ones, and I thought, 'what if I took them with a professional camera?,'" shares Soraya in the video interview below. "I was walking through a Walmart and I saw a couple of dolls. I just kind of put two and two together and thought I could create a personality out of penises."
Would you allow your dongs to get dressed-up in these?
What appeared to be a crazy idea tuned out to be a huge success. Aside from paying clients who want fab photos of their dongs, her growing popularity has gotten her invited to many art events, including an exhibit in Art Basel in Miami last year. There she sold limited edition prints for $10,000 each. She now also has a product line that includes adult novelty items like calendars and mugs.
And the ladies really dig her work:
She has also put up the "Dicture Gallery"—an online gallery that features her works of high-fashion phallic photography. Its surprising success even spawned the "Dick App"—an app that allows you to dress up and accessorize your manhood using the clothing filters provided.
With the money she's making, you might be tempted to take photos of your dick to sell. Piece of advice: Ask Soraya first. Or for the sake of all humanity and your pride, just don't at all.
