In his National Heroes’ Day speech at the Libingan ng mga Bayani, President Rodrigo Duterte once again reiterated that his administration will not let up in the war against drugs.

"I will not relent. The campaign will be continuous and I will be harsh as I can ever be," Duterte said.

MORE FROM FHM.COM.PH took note that Duterte called out the police officers who are protecting drug pushers or the so-called "ninja" cops. "I might be inclined to place a reward on their head, the members of the ninjas, or the police who are protecting drug syndicates in this country and I'm placing per head P2 million,” he said.

Despite several human rights groups and international agencies such as the United Nations raising concerns over the bloodbath that the Duterte administration's drug war has caused, the President stand has not changed.

A Philippine Daily Inquirer report pointed out that "police figures show that more than 1,900 people have been killed since Duterte came to power two months ago." Cops explain that "the death toll of about 36 people a day is a result of drug dealers resisting arrest or gang feuds."
