Because July is Philippines-Japan Friendship Month , the Japan Foundation Manila, in cooperation with the Embassy of Japan, Shangri-La Plaza, and the UP Film institute, is bringing back the Eiga Sai Festival starting this July 1.

Eiga Sai 2011 will be offering nine contemporary films and one anime feature; one of which is the winner of the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film at the 81st Academy Awards. Check out the Japan Foundation website here to view the full schedule.

And so our annual top five must-see. There's a drama about the physical and emotional effects of the Hiroshima bombings, and then there's the feel good movie about a group of runners, and the inspiring story of two young outcasts:
