The former accused the latter of being involved in the illegal drug trade, while also tagging her as "immoral" for allegedly having an illicit affair with her driver. He also claimed De Lima financed the building of her driver's house allegedly using money earned from her involvement with drug lords.
Now, entertainment writer Roldan Frias Castro has been mistakenly identified as the alleged lover. In a Facebook post, Castro denied the allegations, saying, "Kung alam lang nila na hindi ako marunong mag-drive dahil nerbyoso ako. Hindi nga ako makalabas ng bahay 'pag walang inaasahang driver. Eto namang nasa social media share nang share nang hindi nag-re-research."
The photo of Castro and De Lima was taken at a press conference before the May elections. In a report by GMA News Online, Castro (a former president of the Philippine Movie Press Club) was also identified as gay.
The incriminating post that originally tagged Castro also included photos of the house in Pangasinan supposedly owned by the senator's driver. De Lima has denied owning the house.
