Famous freestyle trial biker Julien Dupont has done for motorbikes what parkour has done for jogging: any obstacle, physical or mental, cannot be surpassed to motorbike riding. We thought it's a fitting mantra for this month's World Ender theme, which is to fuck your fears and do the extreme. Checking out the man behind the mind-bending stunts is in order.
The 32-year old Frenchman was recently in town operating under the tutelage of newly-rejuvenated energy drink brand Red Bull, who brought him to the skirts of Binondo and Intramuros to span through crowded narrow streets and scale walls to jump on roofs of public utility vehicles. He packed and taunted the Manila pedestrians like it's the last day of a Bourne Legacy shoot, and we have it on video!
After our brief encounter with the acclaimed motorcyclist, we found out that there's more to this guy than just thumbing the nose of the laws of physics. "I use the city as a playground," says Julien. "When I arrived in the sport I was looking for a good line and try to do it with a perfect style. That is my goal, like an artist on a canvass."
