We know: The holidays have been awesome. You had lechon, ham, and all sorts of heart-healthy food. Unfortunately, all things awesome must come to an end.
Today is that moment: the worst Monday of the year, the first right after a joyous stretch of days off. So, once again, we turn to our ever-reliable Best Of The Weekend to fight off these tremendous back-to-reality blues.
1) A MOMENT OF SILENCE: ESPN Favorite, Stuart Scott, Passes Away At 49
After a nearly decade-long battle with the Big C, ESPN commentator and analyst Stuart Scott succumbed to the disease on January 4, 2015 (US time). Scott, who popularized phrases such as "Booyah!" and "Cooler than the other side of the pillow" while calling highlights on Sportscenter, was diagnosed with cancer in 2007. He left but now without leaving us these fighting words, spoken during the 2014 ESPYs awards: "“When you die, it does not mean that you lose to cancer. You beat cancer by how you live, why you live, and in the manner in which you live.” Rest in peace, sir.
2) INTERVIEW OF THE YEAR: Vice Ganda X P-Noy
Vice Ganda, on her weekly talk show Gandang Gabi Vice, routinely gets to talk with an interesting merry-go-round of celebrities. But few were more interesting than his (her?) latest subject: P-Noy. On a show that aired last Sunday, January 4, the President took the time for a sit-down interview with the colorful entertainer.
Interesting tidbits were revealed: He received a B+ as a student of former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, he used to take long solo drives to Tarlac, he still has a bullet lodged in his neck, and yes, he confirmed that Grace Lee is his ex.
Also, P-Noy's shampoo of choice:

3) INGAT, MGA POGI: Almost 500 new HIV cases, documented
This isn't good news by any measure, but we thought you could use the warning: HIV infections are on the rise.
The most recent reports have been released, saying that there were 492 cases of HIV in November 2014, which included 40 cases of full-blown AIDS. The most interesting tidbit is that two-thirds of the cases were aged 15 to 24, for a total of 134 individuals. If you're on this site, there's a good chance you fall under that range.
Our advice: Be careful out there, bro!

4) REASON NUMBER ONE WHY IT'S TIME TO PAY THE GYM A VISIT: Coleen Garcia and her wonderful body
On January 2, FHM crush Coleen Garcia posted this photo on Instagram:

That's a photo of a bird, which we don't care about. Here's what we care about:

The actress was with her boyfriend Billy Crawford at Maldives over the holidays when they thought of doing an impromptu FHM-worthy photo shoot. Wait for these photos on an FHM issue near you, soon! (Or you know, we can all continue dreaming.)
In the meantime, you can see more of Coleen's extra-hot New Year photos on our article here!
5) MOST IMPORTANT NEWS OF THE WEEKEND: How Kris and Ai-Ai reconciled
In January 2014, BFFs Kris Aquino and Ai-ai de las Alas had a falling out. Tears were presumably shed.
A year later, on the occasion of the Dantes-Rivera nuptial, the two reconciled. The whole nation rejoiced over the life-changing news. Or not. Their story of reconciliation still made the news though:

6) WHAT SORCERY IS THIS: Man solves the world's hardest Rubik's Cube in 7.5 hours
To many of us, a Rubik's cube is a multi-colored reminder of our ineptness at things that require the use of our brain.
To YouTube user, RedKB, however, the standard 3x3x3 Rubik's cube is child's play. The man, whose real name is Kenneth Brandon, performed an incredible cube-solving feat that would take us an eternity to solve. He sorted out an ultra-hardcore 17x17x17 cube (said to be the world's hardest) in a matter of 7.5 hours.
See it here:

To Kenneth Brandon: Thank you very much, sir, for reminding us of how useless we are in the face of such a riddle.
7) MACHO MAN CHALLENGE OF THE WEEKEND: Man challenges Beauty And The Beast's Gaston to a push-up contest
For anyone who needs a reminder, Gaston is that douche of a guy and admirer of Belle in Disney's Beauty And The Beast. There is also a real-life Gaston who lives in Disney World, and he looks as buff as his cartoon counterpart.
Some, though, think that the biceps are all just for show so one dude decided to challenge him. To what? To the most valid of contests involving manly bravado: a push-up contest.
Who won? Well, the villain becomes the hero in this one.

8) BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR: Man gets Mortal Kombat Kung Lao trailer, literally
Mortal Kombat X, the heavily-hyped 10th outing of the bloody fighting series, comes out this year. And videogame fight fans have started to clamor for more as the game approaches its April 2015 release date.
In one Finnish game magazine called Pelaaja, it was revealed that the hat-toting Chinese fighter Kung Lao will be making a return to the series. As is customary for this generation's gamers, a call for a trailer featuring the old-school favorite rose.
And series creator, Ed Boon, replied with one via his Twitter account. Only it was a different kind of trailer:
Ha. Ha. Good one, Ed Boon.
9) TEASER FOR A TEASER: Marvel releases Ant-Man teaser to the teaser trailer
Call it teaser-ception. On January 2, Marvel released an "ant-sized" teaser for its upcoming 2015 superhero flick Ant-Man starring Paul Rudd. A day after, they released the human-sized version for people who can't shrink down to ant-size, which is shown below.
