We know, we know: Monday na naman. But instead of sulking, why don't we start the work week off on a nice note by getting ourselves up to speed on the headlines that happened over the weekend? More than providing lunch/meryenda convo fodder, learning the news from the past two days will put you in a more productive mindset, which is important if you want to be actually productive.
Here now is the latest edition of FHM's Best Of The Weekend!

LOCAL BALL: Ginebra bows out of contention while a referee faces stiff sanctions
Last Saturday, Ginebra ended yet another disappointing conference, losing to Rain or Shine, 92-91, in the PBA Commissioners' Cup quarterfinals. The game had less verbal and physical skirmishes than when the first two met in the conference (Beau Belga says hello) but was a lot more controversial, thanks to this sequence:

Debate on whether or not the referees should've stopped the game due to the 24-second violation (which would've prevented Jeff Chan from scoring the game-winning lay-up) has been raging, and now the PBA has an official answer. League commissioner Chito Salud said that the PBA admits that the referees for that game made a mistake of not calling the violation. The ref who was closest to the scene, Rommel Gruta, will be suspeneded for the rest of the conference. Ouch!
However, this admission does not overrule the outcome of the game. So yeah, #Bora ulit ang Ginebra. Double ouch!
