Back in grade school, we did a Greek mythology pageant in our Reading Class. I played Athena, so I had to prep a whole outfit that would make me look like a Greek goddess.
I was able to borrow a long white gown, and it’s great that my uncle’s girlfriend let me borrow a pair of gold heels. After the pageant, I left the pair of gold heels in front of my uncle’s bedroom door and left a Thank You note. The next day I was awakened by my mad uncle telling me that our puppy chewed off the straps of the gold heels, which was a designer pair! It cost roughly over P5,000.
I had no choice but to replace the Thank You card with a letter of apology.
