The good news is we're fortunate enough not to land in the same group as heavy favorites USA and Spain, but the bad news is Argentina and Greeceboth top-tier b-ball nationsare also situated right up our alley. Hey, nobody said this was going to be easy, right?

According to the tournament's rules, Gilas Pilipinas needs at least two wins to secure a spot in the Final 16, and head coach Chot Reyes believes it can be done at the expense of Senegal and Puerto Rico. "We would absolutely love to get to the 2nd round and to do that I think we need to win two games," he explains. "That would be a huge victory not only for our team but the Filipino nation and in the end we are really doing it for our country." You go, coach!

So what can we expect from these teams? Read on!

Remember Renaldo Balkman's violent tirade against Arwind Santos? Arwind will not be able to play in Spain, so we're counting on Gilas' boy angas, Marc Pingris, to get some payback on his behalf.
