A Chinese man has taken a robot as his wife after getting frustrated in life and the endless struggle of finding a female human partner that would love him back unconditionally.
According to South China Morning Post, Zheng Jiajia decided that he has had enough and didn’t want to wait any longer before he settled down with someone.
But that someone turned out to be a robot created by the lonely 31-year-old engineer from Hangzhou, Zhejiang province late last year.
Zheng reportedly tied the knot with Yingying (that's the robot's name) during a ceremony last Friday that was attended by his close friends and family.
For now, Yingying can only do trivial stuff like pronounce words and identify Chinese characters and images.
Zheng plans to fix this by making some adjustments and upgrading his wife so she could walk and help with the household chores.
It’s in Chinese but here’s a sample of how robots made in China looked like last year:
Men aren’t the only ones into this thing as a French woman who identified herself as a “robosexual” in December last year was also reported to have fallen for a robot she made with 3D printing technology.
