Happy first Friday of the month, bro!

We know a lot of you are aching to take your two days off and just relax over the weekend. We're also looking forward to doing so.

But just in case you're planning to not spend all of your 48 hours of freedom inside the house, here are a few events you might want to check out:

1) Wanderland Music And Art Festival

WHEN: March 5

WHERE: Globe Circuit Events Ground in Makati

WHAT'S UP: There will be two stellar headliners this year: alternative rock legends Death Cab For Cutie and American indie folk band Bon Iver. Joining them are the Kiwi electronic group The Naked And Famous, Australian indie pop band San Cisco, and a few other international acts. Of course what's a local music fest without talented Pinoy acts? Crwn + Jess Connelly, Curtismith, Cheats, and Jensen And The Flips will be performing as well.

Interactive activities and games will also be put up for Wanderers to enjoy, courtesy of Globe Galaxy. There'll be a trampoline area where you can shoot cool videos and upload directly to YouTube or Instagram. Through a special partnership with ZALORA, you can also put together outfits through The Wanderer Collection (you can check out the chosen pieces here). Globe has even put together a catch-up Spotify playlist to make sure you can sing together with the artists as they take over the Wanderland stage. Just search for the #GlobeWanderland2016 playlist on Spotify.

Tickets start at P3,500

2) Hoop it up at Red Bull King of the Rock

WHEN: March 5

WHERE: USC North Campus in Cebu City

WHAT’S UP: Three local qualifiers have been setup—expected to bring heightened excitement to basketball courts across the country. The competition is open to both amateur and professional ballers at least 16 years of age. The best players will get to compete in the world finals in Istanbul.

WHEN: March 4, 9:00 p.m.

WHERE: saGuijo Cafe + Bar Events, 7612 Guijo Street, San Antonio Village, Makati City

WHAT’S UP: This might sound like a politically charged event, but it's not. It's actually a music-filled shindig with foreign performers Aleph, Jai, Maya’s Anklet, Sud, and Alfa.

Entrance is P200, inclusive of one drink

4) Party at Walangderland

WHEN: March 5

WHERE: saGuijo Cafe + Bar Events, 7612 Guijo Street, San Antonio Village, Makati City

WHAT’S UP: In case you can't afford Wanderland tickets, Walangderland is a good, much more affordable but still rockin' option. Indie bands from different parts of the country like Deanery, The Spirals, and Turncoats are coming together for a night of good music.

Entrance is P200, inclusive of one free drink
