As expected, the 56th Grammy Awards was a breathtaking show, all thanks to a litany of artists who made the night a truly spectacular and memorable one. It was filled with great performances, the majority of which coming from artists who received recognition that night—plus some surprises.
Topping that list were Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, who took home the Best New Artist and Best Rap Song award for their hit "Thrift Shop;" Daft Punk capped off their brilliant 2013 with the Album of the Year award for Random Access Memories and the Record of the Year award for "Get Lucky;" while Lorde got the Song of The Year and the Best Pop Solo Performance nods for "Royals."
The actual awards though were just one-half of the show. The other half were the actual performances of some of the biggest names in the music industry today, including 7107 performer Kendrick Lamar's rocking number with Imagine Dragons, and of course, Daft Punk, who shared the stage with Pharell and Stevie Wonder. While these numbers were awesome, music's biggest night had plenty more awesome to offer!
Check out below the 20 Moments That Defined The 2014 Grammys:
