Oh, it's on. Like Donkey Kong!
With the voting period for the FHM 100 Sexiest Women in the World 2013 nearing its end, the nation has narrowed its choices down to three candidates, all of which have had the pleasure of leading an entire army of sexy women in the past. The nation's future is hanging in the balance, and with a couple more days left before the June 5th deadline, it is our responsibility as readers and admirers to elect the fittest candidate of them all.
Without further ado, meet this year's frontrunners:
MARIAN RIVERA: THE FAVORITE
Although a regular at this, Marian Rivera has been enjoying a resurgence in the polls, no doubt boosted by an unprecedented FHM appearance during the magazine's 150th issue back in January. Her network party, GMA-7, is known for its share of winning candidates, including co-party members Katrina Halili and Sam Pinto, both of whom served back-to-back terms in previous years.
With Sam aiming for a third consecutive reign as Nation's Finest, her biggest competition in this year's race is indeed Marian. "Natatakot na nga ako! Hindi," jokes the incumbent Sam. "No, I'm sure lalaban siya and her fans are gonna fight for her talaga, so we'll see what's gonna happen this year." If the record-breaking attendance at Marian's FHM autograph signing event is any indication (it is worth noting that Sam was the previous record-holder), it seems the people want their former leader to return to prominence.
In line with Marian's candidacy, we take a closer look at the GMA-7 frontrunner's take on the following policies surrounding the FHM Nation.
The policy on inhibitions during sexy photoshoots: "Ano ba ang concept ko ng sexy? You can say that I'm the type of girl who is always true to herself. I never tell people any differently. I have no pretentions coming here to do this cover kaya I was able to do what was asked of me. Kahit anong ibigay ninyo sa aking damit isinuot ko because I came here knowing what I was capable of doing and what was required of me. I don't have to prove 'sexy' to anyone."
The policy on maintaining a yummy body for future appearances: "Siguro ngayon I can say that I'm more confident with the idea. Why? Because now I go the gym regularly, I do boxing, just being conscious of my health and well-being. So now if someone says I'm sexy, I'll say thank you!"
The policy on doing another FHM cover due to public demand: "I'm not closing my doors or anything kasi hindi naman bago sa akin doing covers for magazines. I also wear bathing suits in some of those shoots. It's just that iba lang talaga ang demands on me doing a men's magazine kesa sa women's magazines."
The policy on having a long-term relationship with FHM readers: "Paano ko ba sasagutin yan? I'm sure when I'm 40 I would be married with kids already so I would also have to think about my husband and children. Kasi mahirap magdesisyon nang pansarili lang. I'm not selfish; all I want is that in everything I do maraming matutuwa at wala akong masasaktan."
