That beautiful woman on the left is of course, Eat Bulaga’s resident hottie Pauleen Luna. She’s a noontime show crush ng bayan whom we’ve been pursuing for more years than we can remember. A young celeb whose career we’ve followed since we first saw her as a Kapamilya in 2004. Clearly, we have a long-running crush with this woman.

So imagine our disbelief when we learned about Pauleen Luna, long-time bearer of millions of men’s hearts, reportedly seeing Vic Sotto, who is 34 years her senior. We’ve always known Vicente to be quite the ladies’ man, but we never assumed Pauleen would be one of them. Are we feeling envious? You’re damn right we are.

Writes Ricky Lo on his showbiz column on the Philippine Star: “Yes, they are 'officially' an item as confirmed to Funfare by somebody close to them, that’s why you must have noticed some very subtle sweetness in the way they treat each other on Eat Bulaga where Vic is “bossing” and Pauleen now the show’s new First Lady.”

We’re not so sure how to react to this really but watching more of Eat Bulaga is on the agenda. Pauleen is one of the most appealing sweethearts in the industry, managing to stay on the radar with a pleasant smile and minimal controversy.

She’s about to risk an almost squeaky clean showbiz career by identifying herself with an icon like Vic. But screw what we think – we’re all about what makes the girl happy. And we’d rather see her date him than just any other hunky doodle with a perfect face. Vic Sotto pulling this off gives us hope that even an everyman can swoon a goddess like her. Just like how his son Oyo landed Kristine Hermosa into his arms.

To Bosing: whether you and Pauleen are indeed an item or not, we trust you to do the right thing, which is to never break the girl’s heart. Or at least encourage your new spouse to give FHM a try – that’s the least you can do for breaking our hearts in return. Because singing “Ipagpatawad Mo” just won’t work on us. Or maybe it will. Basta iba ka, ser!
