We would like to think that we’ve accomplished a few humble things through the years we’ve been around in the industry. Although we’d hate to brag, let us take this moment to celebrate our latest accomplishment that was 15 years in the making.
Yes, we have tried our luck since the beginning of (our) time, and now we truly believe in the saying that "good things come to those who wait." We can tick off one in our bucket list as Ina Raymundo finally makes all '90s binatilyos blush in this instant-classic of a cover.
While "forever" is a word we don’t use lightly around here (save for some hugot stories), we can’t think of any other term in our vocabulary that would be as fitting for our November cover girl. Now a mother of five and a few weeks shy of the big 4-0, wouldn’t you agree that she still looks like the "Sabado Nights" girl we fell hard for in '95?
If we travel back in time 20 years—to the period when her famous beer commercial aired, and when she tugged at every man’s heart and tapped their fantasies—she will still look the same. Oo, may forever. Ina Raymundo is forever.
Contrary to the popular belief that sabado nights see the best times, we actually made this stint happen one Saturday morning. When asked what convinced her to give this a go, she said, "…I had always kept to heart what they say that life begins at 40. For the last 14 years I had dedicated myself to my kids, so now I’m doing this for myself." Cheers to that, Ina!
Our November issue not only contains 20 pages of the ultimate Ina experience, it also features these exciting man-stories: hacks for an instant life upgrade, a look at the country’s future in billiards, a guide on how to get Olympic-level skills, and an exclusive spread featuring Japanese AV idols.
But before you bury your heads in this month’s rag, let us take you behind-the-scenes of Ms. Sabado Night’s cover shoot.
