Celebrities Pay Their Respects To Kuya Germs

Showbiz icon and longtime pillar of the entertainment industry German Moreno passed away at 3:20 a.m. earlier today due to cardiac arrest. He was 82.

The Master Showman suffered a second stroke yesterday (January 7) and was rushed to the St. Luke's Medical Center in Quezon City. His passing was confirmed by his nephew, John Nite, in a statement sent to GMA News Online.

"He passed on in the company of his family and friends," Nite, also Kuya Germ's co-host for many years, said in his statement. "He lived a full life, touched so many hearts through the years, and helped make dreams come true for most of the biggest stars in the Philippine entertainment industry."

"We are deeply saddened by his passing but we are comforted by the thought that his legacy will live on," he added.
