Reports indicate that the 35-year-old had been staying at the house of the Love Ranch Owner Dennis Hof since Saturday (US time), "want(ing) to get away from everybody, want(ing) to have fun."
Two women then found an unconscious Odom Tuesday afternoon, prompting the call to the Nye County Sheriff's Department. He has already been stabilized and transferred to Desert View Hospital, after initially being driven by ambulance to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center.
Stories of drug abuse have hounded Odom throughout his NBA career, and many are speculating that what happened was a terrible repercussion.
Fans and players continue to send their best wishes his way:

Selected fourth overall by the Los Angeles Clippers in the 1999 NBA draft, Odom blossomed into one of the game's more versatile players.
He was hailed the league's Sixth Man of the Year in 2011, which came after winning two championships with the Los Angeles Lakers (2009, 2010), where he spent the bulk of his best playing days as a point forward. Odom last played for the team who drafted him, the Clippers, in the 2012-13 season.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you, man...
