The Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) is currently in hot water after apparently issuing error-ridden IDs to press covering Malacanang. According to a Dobol B sa News TV report, the official media credentials were found to be ridded with glaring mistakes in English grammar by some of its bearers Wednesday afternoon.
The text in question will make any proofreader or editor faint: "This card to be worn during presidential coverage, but subject to specific accreditation/security requirements. It should be worn all times in entering Malacanang and while inside the Palace grounds. Unauthorized use of this card will result in confiscation.
It is non-transferable and void if altered this card remains property of Presidential Communications Office.
Upon expiration or when resigns from his or her agency, this card should be returning without delay to the International Press Cente, G/F National Press Club, Magallanes Drive, Intramuros Manila."
The PCOO has reportedly recalled the faulty IDs, which has Secretary Martin Andanar as signatory, but not before netizens expressed their collective frustration over another blunder from the government communications arm.
Andanar has also instructed concerned authorities to look into the violated protocols on the card. Maybe he should begin with his human resources department to ensure the hiring of competent personnel and spare the office further embarassment.
Oh, the irony
Must be racking their brains for a sorry excuse RN
