The People's Champ Manny Pacquiao has officially announced on Friday his senatorial bid for next year's polls.

"In the coming days, I will be embracing new levels of responsibility. I will be confronting tough challenges," Pacquiao was quoted by Rappler during his recent State of the District Address in Sarangani. "My second term as your congressman will soon be over, but I will continue to be of service (to) you and to our fellow Filipinos."

As usual, the declaration had a lot of people scratching their heads, with the majority challenging his qualifications. Though in the end, you'd have to realize that this is one of Pacquiao's perks as one of the most powerful and influential personalities in the country.

Assistant coach Buboy Fernandez being his butler would be absolute gold.

But what if he decides to be both and become an Eat Bulaga Dabarkad and, say, play Yaya Dub's estranged father Dodong in the Kalyeserye? Just when Alden Richards thought Lola Nidora was already a handful, here comes his muse's draconian ex-boxer of a dad. You can thank us later, EB...

Having toured a considerable host of countries (and having more than enough dough to visit some more), Manny might have had daydreams of going beyond and reaching space. Just make sure he will make all the necessary preparations for a safe trip; just look at how much the US has spent retrieving Matt Damon (in Interstellar and The Martian) from the cosmos...

While Manny's musicianship came off laughable rather than artistic, mastering another instrument other than the guitar could draw people in taking this passionate side of him more seriously. Because really, there is no need for him to actually sing (somebody just had to say it). And after all, Manny's already practicing...

We don't know about you, but Chef Manny has a certain ring to it. Imagine him bringing his in-ring cooking to a boxing-themed restaurant, which specializes in his favorite pre-fight meals. Bring on those cuss words, Chef Gordon!
