Actress Maria Ozawa is now avoiding using one of the country’s most popular ride-sharing services following an incident where she claims to have encountered a perverted driver.

In an updated post, the former FHM cover girl said Uber has already reached out to her regarding the issue. She also stated that she won’t be using their service any time soon. “But anyways the staff who’s in charge said they will fix this and take it really seriously,” she said adding “But if ever I have to use Uber again (which I think I will not) and it happens again I will sue him/them for sure.”

Maria also lamented on the huge difference between the professional behavior of Filipinos and the Japanese. “Maybe it’s hard to tell that to all the people, but at least in Japan that’s how we were taught in business world. Especially when they handle something personal from their customers,” she said.

Maria’s initial post, which has since been deleted detailed how she allegedly experienced creepy advances from a stranger who introduced himself as “Ben” via text message. As it turns out, Ben was actually one of her previous Uber drivers.

This isn’t the first time though that Maria was the victim of a privacy breach in the country. Back in 2016, she also experienced a similar incident when an Immigration staff member released her passport info online.
