A couple of days after Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) named Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte as its party's substitute candidate in the event current standard-bearer Martin Diño's presidential bid goes awry, well, what do you know:
This comes after the Commission on Elections' (Comelec) law department supposedly sent Diño a "motu proprio" declaring him a nuisance candidate, the disqualified presidential candidate told GMA News Online over the phone earlier today.
Diño could not believe the decision, saying, "Pinagtataka namin ito dahil meron akong legitimate political party. Si [former] President Cory Aquino, galing PDP-Laban. Si [Vice President] Jejomar Binay, galing PDP-Laban. Pati si [ex-Senator] Nene Pimentel."
Diño asserted that he is very much qualified to run for the country's top post.
No offense, man, but wouldn't you want to go down in history as the man who made #Duterte2016 possible?
