So Rodrigo Duterte was a no-show at the last day of filing of CoCs.

After months of deliberation (read: urong-sulong), the Davao City mayor stood by his last statement that he is not running for president in 2016 by not going to the Comelec main office inside Palacio del Gobernador in Intramuros, Manila.

Moments before the filing was officially closed, his loyalists fervently waiting for a buzzer-beating appearance, Duterte wrote on his official Facebook page:

Despite the abundance of shaven heads—a stunt kickstarted by her daughter Sara on Instagram—outside Palacio del Gobernador, the supporters of the tough-as-nails public servant didn't get the conclusion that they wanted from their #DuterteSerye (a top Twitter trend this afternoon). Heck, they even claimed to have been #Dutertezoned.

We here at FHM feel you, Dutertenatics. Not just because we're fans of the man, but because we were also hoping for a more interesting #Eleksyon2016. Just imagine how colorful a TV debate between Duterte, Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago, Sen. Grace Poe, former DILG Sec. Mar Roxas, and Vice President Jejomar Binay would've been.

To sum up (and somehow join) the cloud of agony Duterte Nation is under right now, we came up with a "sob montage." A few man tears wouldn't hurt, we think.

All is not yet lost, though.

There are talks that Manong Rody can still make #Duterte2016 happen via "candidate substitution." Pundits claim that Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption Chairman Martin Diño, who was among the last persons to file his CoC for president, can be replaced by Duterte since both are members of the PDP-Laban party.
