To help them educate these kids on why they should not be involved in the trade and use of illegal drugs, the PCRG is using the "Tatay Digong" puppet.
Obviously, the puppet is the PNP's homage to President Rodrigo Duterte.
In an Inquirer.net report, PCRG director Senior Supt. Gilbert Cruz explained, "Sa school, meron kaming hinandang puppet show, kung saan ang bida namin ay si Tatay Digong. [Then] yung bata, si Miguel na kinukumbinsi ng mga adik na sumama sa kanila. So yun ang mga magiging takbo ng mga istorya."
Aside from dramatizing the cautionary tale, the police will also distribute flyers and posters in schools, as well on other strategic locations.
Cruz explained that they decided to intensify their anti-drug campaign in schools because they found out that many children—some as young as eight years old—are being used as couriers by drug peddlers.
