Dancer and self-styled non-journalist Mocha Uson is now officially a columnist with one of the major broadsheets in the country with weekly submissions beginning this month.

Entertainment host-columnist Ricky Lo made the big reveal on his Sunday column in the Philstar.

“Starting on Tuesday, Nov. 8, The Philippine STAR will welcome Mocha as a columnist, not in the Entertainment Section but in the Op-Ed Section,” he said.

“Her column will be called Hotspot and that sums up what “hot” items you can expect from Mocha every Tuesday. Enough introduction?” he added.

Uson, for her part, confirmed the new development on her Facebook page.

According to her, she agreed to work with the broadsheet for free provided that she gets to voice out her opinion through the paper against anyone she desires.

Uson has been running popular opinion pieces and various news and current events items on her Mocha Uson Blog Facebook page which has amassed over four million followers since the May elections.

She receives both admiration and extreme criticism for her posts from her supporters and detractors, respectively.

Last month, an online petition was launched to suspend her blog for apparently spreading misinformation via fake news.
