A remarkably large alligator has been filmed taking a casual walk across a golf course in Florida, as golfers looked on.
Charles Helms was just trying to enjoy a nice little round of golf with a friend at the Buffalo Creek Golf Course in Palmetto, Florida when he spotted the enormous reptile, which is estimated to be at least 15 feet in size, making its way around the field.
Of course, Helms decided that the next course of action would be to capture the giant beast on video with his phone.
"I was stunned and silent," said Holmes in an interview with ABC Action News. "I didn't know if we were being punked or something. It was just lying down, resting, when it got up and started moving towards the big lake."
In the footage, a voice can also be heard theorizing that gator might just be two guys in a gator suit.
Alligator sightings in areas of human activity are common in the state of Florida. According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, there are at least 1.3 million alligators in state, with the most inhabiting the Everglades region. The alligator is also the official State Reptile of Florida.
