Another aspiring lawyer has fallen victim to the alleged pretentious promises of false brotherhood. This is after the lifeless and badly bruised body of Horacio Tomas Castillo III was found inside a bag dumped along the sidewalks of Balut, Tondo over the weekend.

Horacio was a 22-year-old first year law student at the University of Santo Tomas (UST). An autopsy conducted by the Manila Police District medico-legal unit confirmed that the freshman died from hazing, GMA News Online reports.

The autopsy results indicate that Horacio succumbed to a massive heart attack potentially caused by the injuries he sustained, including hematoma or the solid swelling of clotted blood in both of his arms.

According to Horacio's parents, their son previously asked permission to attend a drinking session on Saturday that will serve as a welcoming event by his brothers to the fraternity he recently joined. Horacio apparently said the initiation rites to the frat was already over and promised to be back on Sunday afternoon but he never returned home.

UST, for its part, condemned the incident and vowed appropriate legal actions once they conclude their investigation.

Meanwhile, there has been an outpouring of sadness and outrage from family, friends, schoolmates and other netizens over Horacio's untimely and tragic death.
