Local fast food giant Jollibee has once again gone viral, but this time, it’s not because of one of their heartbreaking commercials.
Jollibee was faced with an issue of alleged discrimination last Wednesday after a netizen named Bunny Cadag shared her experience of being discriminated by the Filipino fast food franchise for being a transgender.
Last Thursday, Jollibee already issued a public apology, saying they’ve reached out to Bunny.
FHM was emailed a link of their updated official statement, which seeks to clarify the incident.
Bunny’s post has already gone viral with over 12,000 likes and nearly 4,000 shares.
Here are some insightful social media reactions on the issue:
Bataan Rep. Geraldine Roman, a transgender herself, reacts:
The National Youth Commission, for its part, was saddened by the incident.
Some netizens tried to ease tensions by poking fun at the issue:
But others wanted more than just an apology from Jollibee...
