After nearly five years in office, P-Noy has just received his lowest approval and trust ratings. According to Pulse Asia, the president's approval rating dropped from 58 percent (November 2014) to 38 percent (March 2015) while his trust rating plummeted from 56 percent to 36 percent.
The events in Mamasapano played a huge part in the drop, but what really really hurt the Aquino administration was how they handled the case–particularly the statements they made (and continue to make) after the gruesome killings. Some say Malacañang was tactless while others have grown tired of the president pulling his "I'm not the one to blame" card. "Well, who the f*ck do we blame?" asked the most vocal of the government's critics.
And then this happened: During a March 9 prayer gathering with the Coalition of Christian Leaders at the Malacañan Palace, P-Noy implied that axed Special Action Force Chief Getulio Napeñas is to blame for the fate suffered by the Fallen 44. "Maraming wishful thinking si Napeñas as opposed to reality," said the president in his speech. "Pero maliwanag sa akin, binola niya ako."
Not a lot of netizens were amused by this:
But this wasn't the first time that the P-Noy administration earned some major backlash for their controversial remarks—and we're not just talking about their regular haters (the propagators of #PNoyResign) and usual critics (or in political terms, The Opposition)—and we have the vast realm of social media as our witness and historian.
Scroll down for the 10 statements and terms (so far) that will ultimately define P-Noy's time in Malacañang. (WARNING: These will most likely stress you out! Better pop that Amlodipine now, dear titos!)
On whether P-Noy is also the PNP's commander-in-chief, and is therefore accountable for the Mamasapano Massacre
P-Noy's real role in the PNP is the current hot topic on social media, radio, TV, and even family dinners. Is the president also the police force's big dick, just like with the Armed Forces? Or is he an Executive Chief, as insisted by Justice Secretary Leila De Lima? (Also: What the hell is an Executive Chief?) Is this another hugas-kamay tactic?
Amidst the ongoing debate, ABS-CBN News released this footage of P-Noy telling the PNPA's Batch 2013 during their graduation rites that "I am your commander-in-chief":

The term suspended PNP Chief and P-Noy's bestie General Alan Purisima used to describe his participation in the operation in Mamasapano
When grilled by the Senate's Blue Ribbon Committee about Oplan Exodus, suspended (and eventually resigned) PNP head General Purisima testified that he only gave SAF Commander Napeñas "advice" that supposedly shouldn't have been taken as an order. He even noted that he was suspended during the time of their meeting.
To which our dear Tita Miriam replied:
On the other hand, the uproar on social media can be summarized in two tweets:
During the height of the PDAF scandal in 2013, an exposè led to the disclosure of the P-Noy-backed Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP), or the Presidential Pork Barrel as many have called it
The controversial fund was exposed after current and former Senators Jinggoy Estrada, Miriam Defensor-Santiago, and Joker Arroyo revealed the “illegality” of the scheme. The DAP was also allegedly used as incentive for legislators who supported the ouster of former Chief Justice Renato Corona in 2012.
The tag "Pork Barrel King" still haunts P-Noy up to today.
President Aquino on why he wasn't going to attend murder victim Jennifer Laude's funeral
At the height of the investigation regarding the murder of transgender Jennifer Laude, who was allegedly slayed by US Marine Private Joseph Pemberton on October 11 in Olongapo, P-Noy was asked by the media if he was considering attending the victim's wake. He answered, well, dare we say, POORLY.
Aquino's blunt statement also earned him mixed reaction from netizens:

Presidential Communications Operations Office head Herminio Coloma Jr.'s suggestion to Metro Rail Transit (MRT) passengers looking for an end to their daily commuting troubles
"Yung MRT lang ba ang puwedeng sakyan doon sa mga rutang dinadaanan nito?" asked Coloma during a press briefing. "Baka naman puwedeng matuklasan yung iba pang mga options."
The Internet exploded upon hearing of this, we got so excited and angry ourselves we couldn't help but make a couple of Colo-memes:
P-Noy's comment on the PDAF scandal and how such questionable transactions were approved

A quote allegedly taken from Aquino that started the snarky P-Noy meme
We have yet to encounter conclusive evidence of this god-awful quote supposedly uttered by the president. But considering his history of passing on blame to other people rather than owning to his mistakes (or, you know, just doing something about it), we won't be surprised if it really came out of his mouth.

P-Noy's message to his critics
"Bahala na si Lord sa inyo, busy ako" was the president's complete message to his critics, which he repeatedly said during his speech before the Filipino community in Tokyo on December 2013.
Pinoy netizens were quick to share their thoughts on social media:
Pres. Aquino on sacked SAF Commander Napeñas, who he claims gave him false information that led to the death of 44 SAF personnel
At first, it was "My bestie, este, Gen. Purisima lied to me." A couple of weeks later, the President directed all the blame to Napeñas. He even blamed him for Ginebra's fourth quarter meltdowns and Winwyn Marquez's defeat in Binibining Pilipinas. #SigeNaHindiNaIkaw
*Obviously, those last two are not true. We're joking. We all need to smile a little after learning of our president's douche-y move.
Aquino's slogan for his administration
"Kayo ang boss ko, kaya’t hindi maaaring hindi ako makinig sa mga utos ninyo," said Benigno Simeon C. Aquino III on June 30, 2013 after his inauguration as the 15th president of the Republic of the Philippines.
To this we now say: YEAH, RIGHT!
