There’s been drama in the Senate this week involving Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte and vocal administration critic Senator Antonio Trillanes IV. The highlight of it all? Duterte’s bare back where he supposedly hides a fierce dragon tattoo.
Apparently, things got heated during the Senate hearing when Duterte shot down Trillanes after the latter repeatedly asked him whether he was willing to show them his tattoo.
Citing international intelligence reports, Trillanes claimed the tattoo was proof that the president’s eldest son is actually a member of a triad. Duterte previously admitted he had a tattoo on his back but invoked his right to privacy when asked whether it resembled a dragon.
The public had mixed reactions to the whole exchange. Some said it was silly of Trillanes to make such allegations based on a tattoo. Others said Trillanes was successful in planting a seed of doubt in the minds of the people since Duterte could have easily disproved his claims by simply showing the tattoo and getting it over with.
Meanwhile, netizens and politicians had a less serious take with these hilarious social media reactions:
Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte taunts Trillanes with her 'triad tattoo'
Senator JV Ejercito also finds the time to poke fun at the issue
Is this the real reason why Duterte declined?
Now that's just horrible
