Today marks the 116th Anniversary of our independence. Happy kalayaan, mga kababayan!
As with previous celebrations, we're feeling happy as heck that we're an independent country and not just a colony or territory of some superpower. Yes, we feel ecstatic and proud that this is the case—even if you remind us of the scandals and issues we're currently experiencing, like China being a bully, the MRT's never-ending woes, the walang-kamatayang corruption issue starring Janet Lim-Napoles, dubious government dealings, and the on-going circus in the Senate, among a million others.
It all seems bad but, whatever, we'll still take it.
So, how happy are we despite our nation's troubles? Super-mega-sobra! In fact, we're finding it hard to put it into words, so we'll just let the GIFs below do the work. Scroll down and hopefully we'll be able to give you a dose of positive vibes on this very special day.
Again, happy kalayaan, mga kababayan!
We're so happy we have no problems looking like screaming little fangirls in a Ramon Bautista show.
We're so happy we feel like doing the shimmy as if we've just posterized someone.
We're so happy one shimmy is not enough.
We're so happy we feel like doing the ultimate sign of appreciation: the slow clap.
We're so happy we'll celebrate even if we're alone.
We're so happy we can create a new dance craze.
We're so happy we're calling for a par-tey! Speaking of which, anyone here attended the #OneVibePH shindig last night?
