A video of a San Beda law professor commenting against the recent decision of the Supreme Court (SC) that allowed Senator Grace Poe to run for the presidency amid citizenship issues has been making the rounds online.

In the six-minute video, Atty. Bruce Rivera was first shown introducing himself as a professor for the Persons, Family Relations, and Citizenship subjects at the San Beda College.

Rivera then tackled how presidential aspirants in the Philippines should be first and foremost qualified as a natural-born Filipino before even thinking of seeking higher office.

Rivera then lamented how the SC ruling apparently dealt a blow not only to his profession, but also to his identity as a Filipino.

Rivera's video has received 22,000 likes and 22,484 shares as of this writing.

On Tuesday, the SC ruled with a vote of 9–6 in favor of Poe's petition against her disqualification case involving her citizenship.
