Here's a shocker for today: A man reportedly shot himself in the head while taking a selfie with a loaded gun. Whoa, as in WHOA!

According to reports, the man, 21-year-old Mexican Oscar Otero Aguilar, was having a night-time inuman sesh with two pals in Mexico City over the weekend when the accident happened. Not realizing it was loaded, he allegedly picked up a .45-caliber pistol, attempted to pose for a photo with it, and the rest is bloody history.
"I heard a gunshot, and then I heard somebody screaming and realized somebody had been hurt," said one neighbor identified as 57-year-old Manfredo Paez Paez. Man, we could only imagine the shock he felt when he saw what happened. Maybe something like this:

Aguilar, who had a penchant for snapping macho selfies besides expensive man toys like motorbikes and sports cars, was still alive when the police and ambulance arrived. Sadly, he died on the way to the hospital after sustaining a shot to the forehead.

One of his drinking buddies that night, Omar Abner Campos Vives, has been arrested while the other ka-inuman, who is known only as "El Paco," is currently on the run. Smells like foul play? Don't bet on it as Mexico City's Ministry of Public Security believes it was just an accident brought about by booze and the need to show off.
So what have we learned from this? Lesson 1: Don't drink and play around with a gun. Lesson 2: Don't drink, play around with a gun, and point it to or near your head even if it's for the sake of a papogi shot. Because, while taking a selfie is in itself harmless, it could be a disaster waiting to happen if you're not careful. And if this tragic news isn't enough for you to believe that, the four other incidents on the next page will convince you!
