If you’re having trouble summoning the motivation (read: energy) you need at work, you could always use a chemical boost to perk you up. Whether you’re an espresso enthusiast, an avid tea drinker, or a soft drink guzzler, a jolt of caffeine into your system every now and then will do wonders to your energy levels. Just don't overdo it, okay? As they say, too much of something is always a no-no.

We all need to beat deadlines every single day, so here’s a tip: Before you dive into your work, sift through all the meetings, reminders, and to-do notes to identify the top three things you really, absolutely have to finish before the day ends. Do these first, then you can proceed to the items on the lower rungs of your priorities.

And by “temptation,” we mean websites like Facebook, Twitter, and, as much as it pains us to say this, us! If you don’t need to visit a website for work, then stay far, far, far away from it. If the flesh is weak, install a website-blocking app like StayFocusd on your browser. Don’t worry; we’ll still be here when you get off work!
