Local fast food chains have long been embroiled in a silent war involving their advertising campaigns. Earlier this year, Jollibee came out of nowhere and reduced Pinoy hopeless romantics to tears through a series of hugot-filled commercials during Valentine's season. The competition is tough, and coming up with awesome ads online is testing the creativity of numerous brands.
This time around, chicken authority KFC hopes to tickle the nation's funny bone with the "audition video" of its first Filipino Colonel. In the trending clip, Actors Ronaldo Valdez, Leo Martinez, and Pen Medina make their case to portray the father of the iconic recipe, with mixed yet still hilarious results.
We don't know about you, but we feel that Valdez is too perfect for the role, while Medina is a bit overqualified. That said, we're rooting for the man who once gave life to Congressman Manhik Manaog! He'd make a great Filipino version of Colonel Sanders.
