Other than the Alan Peter Cayetano-Bongbong Marcos-Rodrigo Duterte love triangle and Leni Robredo's "May the best woman win" mic drop, one more thing stood out from Sunday night's Vice Presidential edition of PiliPinas Debates 2016.
A quick glance at social media feeds shows the almost unfair flak directed at the senator, only because of his supposedly irritating monotonous speech pattern.
Chiz Escudero’s monotonous voice and fake girly laugh is annoying! ???? #PiliPinasDebates2016— Miss Krizzy (@krizzy_kalerqui) April 10, 2016
It's so easy to impersonate Chiz Escudero that it's not even funny anymore. ????— Jonty (@jontssss) April 10, 2016
The bad vibes over Chiz's rather annoying tone, not surprisingly, gave birth to a handful of the Internet's go-to instrument for ridicule: memes!
Can't blame the others for thinking long-term.
6 years of Chiz' voice. Think. About. It.— carlosceldran (@carlosceldran) April 10, 2016
Imagine Chiz your president speaking like that day in and day out for 6 years. Mass suicide.— Teddy Locsin Jr. (@teddyboylocsin) April 10, 2016
Chiz got many guessing who—or which cartoon character—he was channeling.

Even the name of popular wordsmith Juan Miguel Severo was dragged into the "spoken word poetry" mess.
Guys. Why are you comparing me to a certain vice presidential candidate? Am I that bad at what I do? :(— Juan Miguel Severo (@TheRainBro) April 11, 2016
Don't worry, man.
Ok lang 'yan Chiz because at the end of the day: pic.twitter.com/CUwbFQQMn4— La Salle Please (@lahzuhlpls) April 10, 2016
