Pop culture has never been as celebrated as today with the endless reach of mass media. Within seconds, we can now consume the latest movies, freshly released songs, celebrity gossips, sports highlights, Jennifer Lawrence GIFs, and hundreds of other categories that fall under popular culture.

Obviously, pop culture has been around for centuries. It just wasn’t as conveniently available as today. Can you imagine how Facebook would’ve exploded during the Eraserheads' prime? Or how many re-posts Marilyn Monroe’s blown-up skirt photo would’ve gotten on Instagram? Imagine the instant deluge of video uploads when Michael Jordan hit “The Shot” back in 1989.

That’s why we should be thankful for all the pop culture around us and try to consume as many as possible. Also, don’t forget the stuff that came years before. Today’s pop culture wouldn’t be as colorful, diverse, and fascinating without them.

That’s why every month, we here at FHM will celebrate the important (and not-so important) pop culture moments of all time. Forget those tedious annals, Almanacs, or Britannica Encyclopedia (do they still make those?)! We read them all to come up with this handy dandy infographic!
