So our question "Gaano Ba Talaga Kabagsik Si Yolanda?" has been answered loud and clear: It's frigging destructive!

Let the video below be a reminder:

One of the most powerful typhoons on record, Yolanda wreaked havoc in the Visayas region with its howling winds felt all the way here in Metro Manila. The aftermath is a grim picture of destruction and death. All these showed us another painful truth: It's hard enough that a disaster struck, but what sucks more is when we don't know squat about our friends, relatives, and families after it hits.

If you're facing this dilemma, we'd like to give you a brotherly hug. Kaya natin 'to, mga ser and ma'am. That being said, we'd also like to let you know there are a few services that can help you in reconnecting with your loved ones in Yolanda-hit areas, starting with something from the Big G.

A project, the Google People Finder is a portal that helps users search for and reconnect with the people they know in areas where Yolanda struck. It's very easy to use: Just go to the Google People Finder site, click on the "I'm looking for someone" link, enter the name of the person you're looking for, and press enter. If Google has info on that person, it will show you his/her address and status. If your search doesn't yield results, you can also create a new record for that person complete with your contact information if ever someone finds who you're looking for.
