One FC Fighter Vincent Latoel Taught MMA To Help Yolanda Victims

Vincent Latoel from The Netherlands is scheduled to fight Eduard Folayang on December 6 at the MOA Arena. However, prior to his fight against the poster boy of Philippine mixed martial arts, Latoel took some time out to enjoy what the Philippines has to offer.

Not minding the weigh in on December 5, Latoel hopped on a taxi and headed for the popular dampa near MOA Arena where he sampled the seafood.

“I like the people, they’re very kind and they speak good English,” Latoel said just prior his first Filipino meal.

He started off with fresh buko juice and went on to order to his tummy’s content.

Latoel has a record of 14 wins against 13 losses and two draws. He won his last fight against Willy Ni via guillotine choke back in September for ONE FC: Boku versus Colossa. Folayang on the other hand has lost his last two fights against Lowen Tynanes and Kamal Shalorus.

Prior to flying in, Latoel arranged a fund-raising campaign in Amsterdam for the benefit of the typhoon victims in the Philippines. He taught MMA classes for 50 Euros then donated all the proceeds to the relief efforts.

“I want to dedicate this fight for the victims because I believe we have to help out each other on this planet,” Latoel said. “To rebuild, everyone needs to send some help to the victims in the Philippines.”
