Here we are again at another weekend, though sadly, it’s not one of the extended variety. But who cares right, so long as we have fun? So without further ado, here’s this weekend’s checklist for debauchery! [firstpara]

Nomnomnom feat. Gael Garcia Bernal
It’s movie night over at Nomnomnom in Quezon City on April 16. What’s showing? It’s a marathon of Gael Garcia Bernal movies including Motorcycle Diaries, The Science of Sleep and Y Tu Mama Tambien. Don’t know who he is? Just catch Y Tu Mama Tambien, and you’ll know who he is.

Screening starts at 8 PM. Nomnomnom is located at 1 Tomas Morato cor. E. Rodriguez (beside Shell) in Quezon City. The bar is also offering a Buy three, take one promo on Cervesa Negra.

Gafieira at Martinis
Gafieira happens over at Martinis on April 16. What the hell is a Gafieira, you ask? We’re not exactly 100% sure but it seems to be it’s what the boys of Nyko Maca and Playground are up to nowadays, aside of course from just having released their new album Niyog.

The poster says that Gafieira is the brasilipino funk movement featuring a dizzying mixture of soul and samba. We still don’t get it completely but it does sound cool, and we trust these boys well enough that they’ll treat our ears to something good whenever they’re around their instruments. It’s definitely not just going to be your average ordinary gig, that’s for sure.

Martinis is located at Mandarin Hotel, Makati Avenue, Makati City. Show starts 10 PM.

Gig Galore
Let’s start our night of music on April 16 at Saguijo where A-Fest happens featuring The Pinholes, The Standards, Bottles Smoker, Mohd and Amberhaze. On April 17, at the same venue, it’s Revolver Productions serving an eargasmic dish featuring Carlos Castano, Electric Tuesdays, and The Ronnies.

Got Soul at M Cafe featuring DJ Jojo Flores
On April 16, Got Soul happens at M Café featuring DJ Jojo Flores. The DJ has been voted Best International DJ for four years running by New York City’s Undaground Archives, so you know he won’t be letting you down with his awesome house music.

Grandmaster Flash at LAX
LAX in Pasay City definitely won’t be letting other clubs steal too much of the night’s thunder as they present the hiphop pioneer and turntable legend Grandmaster Flash. It’s going to be a great night of dancing to hiphop beats, that’s for sure. For inquiries, call 556-3585 or 0923-6015223. The party happens on April 16.
