Earth Day weekend brings to us a couple of eco-oriented events, so put on your best green get-up, go get out, and have fun for a cause. [firstpara] If you’re not feeling too much love for the earth right now (shame on you, polluter), well you could always just check out Sinosikat’s album launch and a bunch of other parties. Here’s what to check out…
Art weekend at Mag:net Katipunan
Gigs will be sharing the limelight with art exhibits at Mag:net Katipunan this weekend as Pow Martinez opens his exhibit on April 23, 6pm.
At 8pm, it’s the usual aural delight with Johnoy Donoy opens up Acoustic Hour.
At 930 PM, Absolute Zero and Extrapolation take to the stage, capping off a whole night of artsy, musical fun.
On the following night, April 24, it’s Pancho Villanueva’s turn to treat your eyes to his art at 6pm. The visual fest is followed by Radioactive Sago Project and Chubibo at 9pm.
Over at Saguijo on Friday night, it's Terno Inferno. Playing are Radioactive Sago Project, Musical O, Sleepwalk Circus, Encounters with a Yeti, The Charms and Up Dharma Down.
Then on the next night, April 24, Kerplunk! brings with them their own awesome roster of bands to provide you with another night of pure ear-gasm.
Route 196 will be packed and crowded on the weekend too, with All Starugo Night happening on April 23, and On-Air Studio productions bringing their new lineup of bands to treat you with some good, non-mainstream music.
Down at 19 East, it’s Urbandub, Salamin, and December Avenue rocking the night away on April 23.
Sinosikat? Live at Eastwood and Venice Piazza
Pop-jazz darlings Sinosikat? launches their second album this weekend—an album we predict to be just as sexy and as delicious as the first one. What can we do, we have a crush on Kat Arragado.
Catch them on April 23 at Eastwood Central Plaza, 8pm. And then again at The Venice Piazza at Mckinley Hills, the following night, still at 8pm.
Earth Day Jam 2010
As we said, Worldwide Earth Day Movement happens this week, and here’s one of the biggest events in celebration of it. Earth Day Jam 2010 happens on April 23, over at Tomas Morato in Quezon City. Where in Morato? The whole length of it, we think.
