You heard that right folks. Avatar and all those fancy 3D movies don’t got nothin’ on us now because included in our August issue are some of the hottest photos of Angel Locsin, Cristine Reyes, Katrina Halili, Bangs Garcia rendered in beautiful 3D. It’s like you can touch them already!

Doggie Day Out
Dog lovers will be having a field day over at Eastwood Central Plaza from 11 AM to 4 PM on August 7, 2010. Organized by PAWS (Philippine Animal Welfare Society) and ASPIN (Asong Pinoy), the event aims to improve the people’s perception on native and mixed-breed dogs and celebrate these dogs’ unique traits.

There will be free dog baths, grooming service, dog massage, vet consultation, pet photo area and doggie treats to all existing members of the PAWS Aspin Club. Those who will register their Aspins that day during the event will also get to avail of those services.

Food trip
Got a dog allergy? Well that’s just too bad, but we do hope you don’t have any food allergies because the following two events will be all about satisfying your hunger with foods that aren’t your ordinary lunch and dinner fare.

World Food Expo 2010

The country’s biggest and most effective food show started last August 4 and will run up to August 7 at the World Trade Center and SMX Convention Center.

The trade event is dubbed “The Ultimate Food Show Experience,” and it's at a venue that brings together “all segments of the food and beverage industry--buyers and sellers.”

The 1st Philippine Culinary Cup will also be held in the said expo which is dubbed as a culinary competition where only the best chefs meet to compete!

Flavors of Thailand at The Marriott, August 1 to 31
From August 1 to 31, The Marriott Café at The Marriott Hotel Manila will be home to The Flavors of Thailand Buffet.

In what’s guaranteed to be a hot and spicy treat for your taste buds, the event will feature guest chef and official Thai food ambassador Thanathorn Krobsuay from JW Marriott Bangkok, and will be the one preparing authentic Thai dishes daily. Definitely, this is one of the most authentic Thai food experience you can have in the Metro.

They have a promo as well. The buffet is available for lunch and dinner (P1,350 net for adults and P675 for children) and during the Sunday Brunch at P1,650 per person.

That night will be followed by August 7’s gig featuring Chimp of Fridays, September Issue, Ajka, Speakeasy, Degage. Both gigs start at 9 PM.

Freedom Bar will be rocking as well on August 7 with a lineup that features AprilMorningSkies, Arcadia, Kneelonnails, Imbuenokudos and a lot more. This metal attack is sure to leave a mark on you.

Full Access Fridays at Club Lax Main Room happens on August 6 featuring DJ Ponch and guest DJs to load you up with Hip Hop, R&B, House, and Top 40 hits. MC Jaygo will be on the mic.

An open bar from 10 to 11:30 p.m loads you up with enough booze. Lax the Nightclub is at Structure C, San Mig by the Bay, Mall of Asia, Pasay City.

Twisted Fridays at Eivissa Superclub in Tomas Morato in QC happens on August 6 as well featuring music by DJ Marvin, DJ Jet, and DJ Markie Madness, with MC Bigdaddy.

Nearby at Bliss, Super Swagger Friday happens featuring Hiphop, Mashup, and Bounce music by DJ Richard, DJ Lime, and DJ Chinaman. This event is hosted by Swagger Entertainment in cooperation with Explicit Production.

Saturday will be as great starting with Saturday Night Live at Club Bureau in Makati on August 7. The event features DJ Chris Myk and Violator Allstar DJ Euric.

While over at Eastwood, Manor Super Club plays host to Saturday Supreme featuring music DJ Buzz, DJ Slick J, DJ Mick, DJ J Reyes and MC Boo. The event is hosted by Kenneth So, Wesley Sun and Ryan Reyes. Dress code is strictly implemented.
